My name is Muzi Zuma, a 27-year-old Activist of Self, Health, Security & LGBTIQA +. I’m also a finalist in this year's Miss Gay RSA 2019, to which I’m raising the funds for.
It is my dream to labor for the betterment and upliftment of not only myself but my community at large. It is to, together with the Miss Gay RSA, shine a beacon of light, presence and work of LGBT pageants. My fellow brothers and sisters are my passion, I want to add positively into our fight against discrimination, segregation and social exclusion. This title is a platform that I believe will allow me to do just that and boundless more. I dream of a community that works together in killing the social ills we face every day, instead of fighting internally. I do believe myself to possess the fire, the love, the passion and the persistence to be the glue that our community needs.
I’m raising money to help me make a difference. As a finalist for Miss Gay RSA 2019, it is important for me to make an impactful and positive change for the betterment of our community.
Part of this will be going to the Pageant, as it’s a compulsory requirement for us to raise R5000.
The funds need to be raised by the 15th of September 2019. The funds raised will be used to qualify for the pageant.
They will bring back faith in humanity. We have so many ills we’re facing as a Nation that can only be fixed if we stick and work together. These donations will help me start my #WeConquer Campaign and move forward in changing lives.
Should I win I not only promise to meet all the roles, duties and responsibilities required of me exceedingly, I also would like to see my campaign #WeConquer come alive. I want to work on ending any hate, stigma or hate crimes that exist community by community. I want to work together with the SAPS in ensuring that LGBTIQA+ people receive equal treatment and service at police stations. #WeConquer would be a social media movement that I will spearhead to fight against the growing cyber bullying and hate speeches and crimes that happen across these platforms. #WeConquer is very dear to my heart. It goes against gender-specific labels and essentially brings it down to the basics, that we’re all human at the end of the day and we all have it in us to do our bit in being there for the next person. In larger spectrum I just wish to leave an impactful mark and difference for the people that matter the most to me, my fellow LGBTIQA brothers and sisters. Enough is Enough
*The funds raised will be transferred directly to the Miss Gay RSA Account.*
