World Choir Games Tour 2020

Personal message

My name is Nahum Fischer and I'm currently in Grade 7 progressing to Grade 8 in 2020. I am 13 years old and I live in Montevideo in Cape Town. I am raising funds for myself.

In July I was chosen to be part of the Tygerberg children's choir and we will compete in the world choir games in Belgium in July 2020. The cost of the tour is R35000 per member and must be paid by May 2020. One idea is to get 22 people to donate R200 a month for the next 8 months, which would cover the entire cost. We have 1 person that has already agreed to give R200 a month for the next 7 months, which means I'm still in need of R33400. My family and I are looking at various means of raising the money, such as monthly raffles, game nights, karaoke and various other sources. Donations from as little as R50, once of or ongoing, would be highly appreciated.

Reaching my target will give me with a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of this amazing experience to compete with choirs around the world and to experience other diverse cultures in a completely different country. Experiencing this will be life-changing.

The funds will be used for the flight to and from Belgium, accommodation while abroad, meals, travelling to competition venues, etc
