A wheelchair for Natashia

A wheelchair for Natashia

Personal message

My Name is Natashia (32) and I live in Durban. I sustained a T4 T5 fracture post motorcycle accident in June 2018. As a result, I now present Paraparesis. I'm a single mom of 3 daughters aged 14, 10 and 8. Sadly their father passed away...

I am currently driving, which makes me so much more independent.

The problem is that my current wheelchair (government issue) is heavy and is difficult for me to lift... Because of this, I need my eldest daughters to act as mothers to me and this is heartbreaking as I'm sure most of you would understand.

I have my eye on the rollability MK2 rigid wheelchair with less than 8kg of loading weight...

Help would greatly be appreciated.

I can't think of a time frame but the sooner the better is all I can think of right now :)
But I will be in a chair for the rest of my life so I'm sure it doesn't actually matter..

The full amount of R25 000 will be paid for the Mk 2 rollability Wheelchair.

This will mean that I will be able to lift my wheelchair myself and not have my 14year old daughter do it for me.

*Funds raised will go directly to the purchase of the wheelchair*
