Ncedane Educational Mentorship Program

Personal message

My name is Wizzard Ncedane, a recent B.Ed graduate at the University of the Free State and proud memeber of the Golden Key International Honour Society. During the course of my studies I was exposed to both theoretical and practical spectrum of teaching practice. The lived experience of offering lessons in indigent township and other under-resourced schools made me realise of the socio-economic realities of our country, that learners in public schools have to endure unbearable hardships just to ensure that they become educated. At Ncedane Educational Mentorship Porgram we have a panel of highly competent student volunteers from the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein, studying for different degrees and other qualifications and they all volunteer their precious time to offer teaching lessons, extra classes to students in township schools acorss the Mangaung district in Bloemfontein. We also prepare nutritional meals for the learners and also provide them with career guidance mentorship. However, we are currently experiencing great diificulties with regards to learning equipment, stationery and purchasing of groceries to prepare meals for the learners. Nothing is more powerful than helping other people by providing them with opportunities. I am honored to be a founder of the Ncedance Euducational Programme  because it is an organization that focuses on sustainability rather than charity. During the 2018 academic year we have provided over 2800 meals to learners in township schools and managed to offer lessons to over 630 learners.
