The Coronavirus has some brought some level of worry to all of us. We worry about the needs of those we serve, the needs of our community, the needs of our families, the needs of our organizations, and our own needs. The list goes on. These are unprecedented times. I don’t know what the future holds, no one does, it affects the less fortunate the most but we can help, you can help, I can help. I'm raising for food parcels (non-perishable item such as nutritional porridge, tinned foods, maize meal, flour, cooking oil etc. This food parcel can last a family of 4 for at least a week and the essential items will cost R890.
We're 2 months away from winter. The winter in Upington, Northern Cape is very cold. Some of the funds raised from this campaign will go towards blankets, jerseys, winter gloves.
Over the past 4 years, Koda Multipurpose Community Development Association has built a legacy through community charity work but we understand there is still a long way to go. We recognize that our success as a non-profit is directly linked to the wellbeing of the communities we operate within. Our community is the source of our most valuable asset: our people. In contributing to the welfare of our communities, we have a special project called “the daily food drive” that responds to real issues, HUNGER which is truly impacting our communities. We identify and venture into communities where there is extreme poverty and deliver food.
What is more exciting is that we are participating directly and deliberately on the Government Agenda on Food Security.
