Raising University Fees

Dear Reader, Thank you for taking a look at my fundraising profile. I'm a BA Fine Arts student at the university of Witwatersand. 2021 should be my third academic year, a year just before my final year, sadly this is not possible as I am unable to register for my third year due to outstanding fees. I was self funded in 2019 but couldn't manage to pay up the full tuition fee to the value of R60 000.
Fortunately I got a bursary for the 2020 academic year which was convincing enough to let the university allow me to register even though I had accumulated funds. The bursary covered 2020 tuition fee and will still continue to cover my third and fourth year.
However, it cannot assist with paying the accumulated fees. In 2020 I was able to raise at least 50% of the R60 000 that was outstanding due to all my gigs being canceled and slow book sales.
Apart of my studies I am poet and I have an anthology published. I was not able to get gigs or sell books due to the ongoing pandemic. Although I am already practicing art in a form of poetry, I saw the need to take on a professional multi-disciplinary art degree to expand my skills and knowledge as an artist. This was so I could get the necessary art background I need and to enable myself to learn different art mediums of expression.
I run a literature program with children in my community, wherein I share knowledge and mentor young poets and artist children, I share with them what I learn at the university. Finishing this degree will be a dream come true to me and will be beneficial for the children I already mentor. With this degree I aim to tell stories of people of color, to change their narratives and to fuel dreams of those who aspire to study art so they can realize its possibility.
I now have an outstanding balance of R22 700,00 that is blocking me from registering. The university will only allow me to continue my studies if I can at least raise 50% of that amount, due to its policy. I will funds raised to pay for the accumulated fees so I can be able to register to finish my degree.
All funds raised will be paid directly to the relevant institution.
