#KindnessSA & Peace Home COVID-19 Feeding Scheme

Personal message

The Covid-19 pandemic has left many of South Africa’s most vulnerable communities in an even more precarious position.  Thankfully, an increasing number of organisations and individuals such as Aziza Nolan that is committed to helping those most affected by the pandemic. While the lockdown may have been necessary to ‘flatten the curve’ of the pandemic, it also robbed many households of their already-meagre earnings, leaving them on the brink of starvation. Aziza saw the immense need in the community and so the #KindnessSA Peace Home Covid-19 Feeding Scheme in association with RPJ Helping Hands was born.

On average, the feeding scheme feeds 1,500 individuals every day. Over weekends this figure often rises to over 2,000.  While Aziza and her team do everything in their power to provide food to as many people as possible, they are reliant on donations from the public to acquire the necessary supplies.

Individual and corporate donations are urgently required in order for the feeding scheme to continue servicing the vulnerable communities in and around Cape Town.  No donation is too big or too small and every Rand will go towards making a difference in someone’s life.

Building a culture of kindness. ️Since the Peace Home COVID-19 Feeding Scheme &  #KindnessSA, a Facebook group, started 2 months ago, we have fed 29 000 people in the local communities along the West Coast in Cape Town & South Africa.  We feed 2000 people a day and have made up hundreds of food parcels, also helping 14 Moms on Mother's Day with food vouchers, all with your support. ️This is all because of your kindness and we couldn't be more grateful, thank you! ️

Peace Home

Peace Home Logo
Peace Home is a home where children who are victims of abuse find a safe haven. The founder and Ma of Peace Home, Aziza Nolan, is assisted by her nephew Suleiman Nolan Gasnola.

The children are mostly from our community and surroundings. Some of the children arrived from the streets, and some were removed by the police from abusive homes, and they arrive with absolutely nothing. ANY help, in any form, whatsoever, are so needed and will be so very much appreciated.

Peace Home in Sunningdale operates like a real home where the kids get to enjoy a movie night on a Friday, jump on their trampoline and play games, go to school, sleep in on a Saturday, receive a lot of love and attention, get counseling and get to experience a real loving home, for the first time ever in their young lives. They even have two awesome dogs, Bruno and Inga (rescue dogs)!
