Perimeter fence for Thárros Child and Youth Care Centre

Perimeter fence for Thárros Child and Youth Care Centre

Personal message

Thárros Child and Youth Care Centre in Hankey, Eastern Cape requires a fence to secure their grounds. Three sides of the property are secured but the last side still needs to be done. Thárros CYCC has received a quote for mesh fencing for R15 000.00. With the completion of the fencing, the property is safe and secure for the children that live there.

Thárros CYCC is a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO 171-110) established to meet the needs of children who experience threat within their community.  Every child that lives with Thárros CYCC has been placed as a ward of the state and our duty is to ensure their wellbeing and safety.

In keeping with their mission statement, Thárros CYCC offers a variety of therapeutic programmes to assist the children in their care.  These programmes include Play Therapy, Protective Behaviours, Emotional Freedom Techniques (Tapping), Groupwork, Meditation and other interventions that serve the individual child best.

Thárros is based in Hankey, Eastern Cape and provides temporary safety for babies and children affected by abuse, neglect and abandonment. The children stay with us for 6 months while their family situations are investigated by police and social workers to ascertain whether reunification is possible, or whether the children should rather be placed in permanent foster care. We can care for up to 25 children and our staff compliment is a minimum of 7 depending on the number and ages of the children in house.
