Please help take me to Stanford University for TrepCamp!

Personal message

I am a South African engineering student and entrepreneur who has been admitted into the TrepCamp Advanced Program at Stanford University and received a 75% tuition scholarship to attend the program. TrepCamp creates “entrepreneurial superstars”, enabling participants to acquire the mindset, skills and experiences needed to become high impact entrepreneurs, linking themselves to the most sophisticated entrepreneurial ecosystems in the world.

I am currently working on my start-up project, a platform which connects potential business teams in South Africa, in the interest of further strengthening the South African entrepreneurial eco-system. I am strongly passionate about facilitating the collaboration of people with ideas and people with the skills required to bring ideas to life.

The programme commences in 9 July at Stanford University. This is a hugely exciting opportunity for me as I will be afforded the rare chance to attend seminars with experts and leaders at Silicon Valley, learn about emerging technologies and eventually pitch my start-up to global investors and mentors.

However, although I have received a partial scholarship for the tuition, I still require to fund my flights, meals, accommodation at the university and the remainder of the tuition amount, which is more than I can afford. I require a total of R65 000 in order to take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity. To date, I have raised a total of R 18 876.
