RCS GUGS Youth Race in support of Sakhisizwe YDP

Personal message

June 16th, Youth Day, is an incredible time to reflect on and celebrate the astounding diversity, power and immense potential held within South Africa's youth. Youth Day acknowledges the past struggles of our nation's children, and honours their ability to overcome. However, in many ways, South Africa's youth are still plagued with challenges such as: substance abuse, teenage pregnancy, poverty, and high drop out rates. Safe spaces that invest in and cultivate the talents of our youth, such as the Sakhesizwe Youth Development Program, protect, support and empower them so that their potential increasingly becomes their reality.

Stand with Sakhesizwe by running alongside, or sponsoring the program's founder: Mhinti Pato and her team, as they run the streets of Gugulethu, where Mhinti grew up, on June 16th. If you can keep up with Mhinti, you'll be able to hear about the community of Gugulethu firsthand, and gain valuable insight into the wonderful potential it holds. All funds raised will go directly towards the incredible work that Mhinti and her team do on a daily basis and represents a personal investment in the future of our nation.
