Tug a War - International participation

Tug a War - International participation

Personal message

My name is Reinier Van Rooyen, age 15. I have been participating in Tug a War from the age of 8.
I have been rewarded with Western Province/Winelands colours three times since I started and last year (2018) participated in the World Junior Tug a War Championships in Cape Town. This year I have been fortunate to be included in the teams which will be representing my school and South Africa at the World Championships in Castlebar, Ireland.

The final payment is due by 10 June 2019, however some expenses like clothing, tug a war boot and pocket money could be paid closer to their departure.

At this stage cost are calculated as follows:
Flight tickets - R11301.68
Breaffy Woods Hotel - R7975.00
Generator Dublin - R1080.00
Hop Off Pass Dublin - R470.00
Insurance - R330.00
Transport from Generator to Airport - R107.00
Total - R21 263.68 (this amount is dependent on the exchange rate)

New boots - R1800
Clothes - R3000.00
Pocket money - R2000

Although my parents, friends and family  do everything in their power to afford me the opportunity to widen my horizon, it is sometimes difficult financially. By receiving donations from people that value this will ensure that I can participate in this event and achieve success.

*Funds raised will be transferred into the bank account of Technical High School Drostdy*
