Ryan to represent SA in Canada and USA for Triathlon

Personal message

My name is Hanneli Pfeifer and  I'm from Gauteng, South Africa.

I am an Afrikaans high school Teacher.  I am creating this campaign because the most inspiring person in my life has been selected to represent South Africa for his Triathlon in Canada and USA this year and I would really like to help him get there. Unfortunately Bermuda was cancelled last year.

The campaign is aimed at raising funds for his entire trips to Canada and USA to represent his country.

My husband, Ryan Pfeifer, is a personal trainer and cricket coach. He always gives every possible second of his time to help each one of his clients to succeed. He is always available to give advice or to ensure he helps whoever needs it.

He is dedicated, loyal, inspiring, determined, and motivated. He works hard at everything he does and strives to reach every goal set for him and by himself.

He only started doing triathlons in his 30s and has worked extremely hard over the last few years training for every triathlon he has participated in. He has gone through countless hours of training and overcame epilepsy complications, and still succeeded.

In March 2021, he participated in two events to represent Gauteng in the South African Triathlon Championships. He participated in the SA Age Group Sprint Triathlon Championships and the SA Age Group Standard Triathlon Championships. This year, he represented Gauteng again for both events.

He received a silver medal for his age category for the sprint distance with a time of 1:13:50 in 2021. This year he won the sprint distance for his age group, with a time of 1:11:53. In the standard distance, he came in 4th place, 1 minute short of being in 3rd place in 2021. This year he came 4th in his age group for the standard distance.

He was selected to represent South Africa in Montreal, Canada for the 2022 World Triathlon Sprint and Relay Championships in June. He has also been selected to represent South Africa in Utah, USA for the 2022 Ironman 70.3 World Championship as well.

With Ryan always willing to do everything for everyone else and help where he can, it would be amazing if I could help him on this journey and have the opportunity to participate in this event. We would appreciate any donations towards this race to make this dream a reality for the best man I know.

I would also like to thank everyone for their donations to date and future contributions.
