Second Chance for Andrew

Second Chance for Andrew

Personal message

Andrew Claassens (29) was involved in an accident on his first Fathers Day, 19th of June 2016. A driver under the influence drove straight into him from behind on his quad bike. He was left with multiple serious injuries and has been bedridden ever since.

We are in serious need of financial help to raise funds for both of his hips to be replaced. This will not only enable him to finally get out of bed and sit in his wheelchair, but he would also be able to spend some much needed quality time with our son. Marnigh, was only 3 months old when the accident occurred.

To date we have raised R100 000.00 of the needed R229 696.94 for his hip replacements, but time is no longer on his side as the pain is becoming unbearable and his injuries worsens as time goes by.

Andrew still has a long road of recovery ahead, but these hip replacements will be the first of roughly 12 operations needed just for him to live any resemblance of a normal life.

Our son is growing up right in front of him and Andrew's biggest wish is not only to witness it, but to be a part of it.

Please help me, to help Andrew. I do not know for how much longer he would be able to stay positive. It breaks my heart to know that I can only do so much as to ask for help.

*The funds will be managed by THE ANDREW CLAASSENS FUND TRUST*
