My name is Sivenathi Jiya from Butterworth in the Eastern Cape. I am 22 years old and I'm a student. I am fundraising for myself, my younger brother, Yanga Jiya he is 19 years old our grandmother Vuyelwa Jiya she is 80 years old.
My mother passed away in Japan on the 20th of September this year. She was hospitalized in May after she was diagnosed with pneumonia in May.
I have tried seeking help in so many government departments but with no luck. I have been told that my mother wasn't a government official, she wasn't in Japan on government duty and she wasn't in axle so the government can not support me financially.
My family has been so badly affected by this. We couldn't go see my mother when she was in the hospital and we couldn't bring her home to be buried and now she's buried in Japan.
My family and I understand that the process of exhumation and bringing her home will take a long time and will be very expensive and that is why we would at least like to visit her grave.
I would like to raise funds to go to Japan with my grandmother and baby brother to visit my mother's grave because I feel they are the most affected people in my family by my mother's loss.
My fundraising timeline deadline is the 1st of February 2020. Please help us I've tried everything this is my last hope. Reaching my target will mean that my family and I will finally get a chance to give my mother a send-off and finally find closure.
Especially my grandmother her health has been so badly affected by this I feel she needs to see where her child is resting to find peace.
Funds raised will be used to cover:
1. The funds will be used for Flights from JHB Airport to Tokyo Japan and back.
2. Accommodation in Japan.
3. Transport from the airport to the hotel. Then to the Cemetery and back to the hotel and then to the airport.
Funds raised will be transferred into my bank account.
