Helping to survive

For many households, it is impossible to survive in self-isolation without external support. There is a strong lack of water, food supply and internet. As a consequence, the social dynamics are alarming: Envy, prejudice and violence are spreading. To enable people to stay home in a safe way and to prevent the spread of Covid-19, it needs additional aid and assistance.

No income for many households

There are many households in these communities who do not have the income to begin with, or whose income stops with the lockdown measures. Getting support to these households through these times of not earning is crucial for keeping a connection to food supplies, health supplies, access to power as well as to airtime and internet.

Providing resources

Putting cash into these households / local organisations enables support of equally vulnerable local vendors within these communities. We are currently mapping these communities to identify individual needs. We will make sure that donations will be directed to the households directly and that the support will be given in the most effective and just way. The majority of food will be sourced from regional farmers and food suppliers. Further resources such as hand sanitizers, wifi-routers, computers and any form of home entertainment are very much needed. We appreciate any form of donations that we could pass on to people in need.
