We are fundraising for Tatenda Chimbunde's return flight from China. Her father Clemence Chimbunde, in South Africa, did some project work for Chartwell previously and we would like to assist him and Tatenda in being reunited.
I know Tatenda’s father, Clemence Chimbunde. Clemence was a foreman on a construction site that did some work on one of Chartwell’s developments 2 years ago. I have kept in contact with him as he is such a genuine and likeable man. He has also done some work for my sister on their home over the past year.
Clemence always over the 2 years I have known him speaks with such pride about his daughter who is attending university in China. I felt a tremendous amount of respect for Clemence and his wife for sacrificing so much for themselves in order to try and give their daughter a better life and a good education.
From what I understand, Tatenda was awarded a small scholarship and for that reason she went off to China.
Clemence is a Zimbabwean who has a small business in construction and building maintenance. He has fallen on hard times as all his projects have come to a standstill during the COVID pandemic and lockdown. He has managed over the years to send his daughter, Tatenda Chimbunde to attend University in China. He has used all of his resources to pay for his daughter who has been hospitalised in China during the last 2 months. She has had 2 surgeries and is due to be discharged in the coming weeks. Clemence is desperately worried about his daughter and wants to book her to fly back home so that his family can care for her.
Clemence is trying desperately to raise sufficient funds, either through finding work or any kind donations, to fly her home from China towards the end of July should she be discharged and flights are found. The amount required to fly her home is around USD 1950. Any kind donations to assist with her flight and medical bills will be so appreciated by Clemence and his family.
Clemence is able to bring his daughter back home where the family can look after her.
The funds will be used to pay for the flight to get Tatenda back home to her family.
