Let's Do More!

Personal message

My name is Tiyani Majoko, and I am a lawyer based in Johannesburg.
I have been accepted to Cornell Tech, which is the tech campus of Cornell University to study an LLM in Law, Technology and Entrepreneurship. The course only selects 15 law students and I would be the first South African to attend the school.

I need to raise the funds by the end of June 2019.

In order for Cornell Tech to issue me the letter to start the Visa application process, I need to show funds of up to R1 522 037.00 ($106 000). Thus far I have raised R 1 153 135.00 ($82 500.00).
The balance will be used to take into account the exchange rate fluctuations and settling in while waiting for my US bank account to be opened.

I have already raised money from Cornell Tech, the FirstRand International Postgraduate -studies Scholarship and EducationUSA.

This donation will help me come back and do more for the communities I am already involved and invested in. I also hope that it can inspire other African youth to also do!

The funds will go into my personal bank account as I have to show the proof of funds to Cornell University and to the US Embassy when for the visa application process.
