*PLEASE NOTE THIS CAMPAIGN IS NO LONGER ACTIVE.
This amazing and easy "Walk For A Cause" hike on SUNDAY 10 SEPTEMBER will take us from Sandy bay beach to the Shipwreck of Harvest Capella and back to the beach where hot coffee and a sandwich awaits us.
This hike is arranged to help the theatre project I am working on to rewrite some stories of ex-offenders and at risk-youth in Cape Town. The programme has a space available at Artscape Theatre in the end of September and all we need to bring our participants to the stage is your contribution. Read more about the project here: The Making of a Criminal Part 2 theatre production
The hike will start at the parking lot in Llandudno and cross the beach (where you can skinny dip if you like!). After about 40 minutes of walking along the coastline we will reach the shipwreck Harvest Capella that went down 1986. Her rusted remains still lies on the rocks of Oudeschip point and it is also the spectacular view of the Maori (1909) and the crane, Bos 400 (1994). On the way back, we will have coffee and a sandwich waiting for us (courtesy of Willowhurst Fine Curtains) on the beach and a good time to chat and catch up.
The Sandy bay parking space at Landudno side.
A T-shirt, shorts and a pair of sneakers works well if it is a warm day. Bring a thin jacket in case it is windy.
Friends and family, 1,5 litres of water, sun lotion and a camera.
Date & Time:
Sunday 10 September we will start at 10 Am and the hike will take plus minus three hours both ways including the coffee break.

How you can contribute:
There is no fee to join the hike but all donations will be highly appreciated and I can guarantee that the money will be going directly to bring the participants to Artscape. If we gather 50 people that gives R100 each, we will have a good start on the journey. You can donate directly to me on the hike, or use this link and do it online:
Hope to see you all there! Yasin
