We The Citizens Of SA

Personal message

My name is Luvuyo Menziwa, a 30-year teacher from Klerksdorp, North West.

This project is meant for assisting orphanages, old age homes and child care centres and the homeless with basic necessities.

This project seeks to assist those who find themselves faced with poverty and hunger with basic necessities such as educational materials, vegetable seeds, food, bathing material, sanitary towels, cleaning materials and laptops and or computers for those who need them the most.

Poverty and hunger have been a dark cloud for many Citizens of SA over many decades and one of the strategies to use when fighting against poverty and hunger is through standing together as Citizens.

Currently, there are 2 identified places that need assistance, Elim full gospel church in Hatfield Pretoria and Leratong joy for one foundation, an orphanage in Alexander Johannesburg.
We will be working with different orphanages, elderly homes, child care centres and homeless centres to ensure that we assist where we can.

Reaching my target will enable us to donate basic necessities to those who need them the most and be able to support and provide skills to enable them to provide for themselves in the future.

Funds raised will be used as follows;
15 000- sanitary towels and bathing materials
30 000- food
5000 - vegetable seeds
7000 to 10 000- educational material

Please follow our progress here.

*As per the campaign creator’s request, a portion of the funds raised will be paid out in the form of Shoprite vouchers. The remainder of the funds will be transferred directly to the suppliers/relevant organisations.*
