Personal message

JUST BECAUSE

Just because I don't look like you
Doesn't mean that I don't see what goes on around me
Just because I don't talk like you
Doesn't mean that I have nothing to say

Because heart to heart and eye for eye
We all laugh and we all cry
And in our souls we all want to fly
So accept that I'm different and I'll do the same to you
Because in my world, you're pretty different too

And just because I don't move like you
Doesn't mean that I can't be moved by what is around me
And just because I don't think like you
Doesn't mean that I don't think at all

Because heart to heart and eye for eye
We all laugh and we all cry
And in our souls we all want to fly
So accept that I'm different and I'll do the same for you
Because in my world, you're pretty different too

All that I ask of you
Accept that we're different.....
Just because
Just because

Wesley had been diagnosed with Wolfhirshhorn Syndrome at the age of 4 and is a resident at Woodside for the past 12 years.  That is his home where he's been cared for with love and kindness.

Woodside is facing an uphill battle to meet their operational costs.  They are currently providing full-time residential care to 100 residents with profound intellectual disability.  Thirty of their residents have no means of support and the Sanctuary has to carry the entire cost of their accommodation.  They have a short-fall of R3 532 400 on this year's budget.  With your support/donation they can continue providing a home for these residents.
