Inaugural World Disabled Darts Championship Belguim - February 2019

Personal message

I am a 62 year old disabled darts player and a member of the Western Peninsula Darts Association. I started playing darts in 2013 and have a good number of achievements so far. I believe that practice makes perfect so I practice for 3-4 hours every day, Monday to Sunday. It paid off because I was invited by the South African Disabled Darts Association to enter the 2018 championship in Johannesburg three weeks ago. I attended and won the singles, doubles, team game and most 180's scored.

I am now the South African Disabled Champion for 2018. I have been invited to enter the World Championship in Belguim in February 2019. As I do not receive any monetary support from the WPDA I have to raise the funds myself. I am not in a position to pay for this without sponsorships. I have and still am investing many many hours into my passion for darts so I would be devastated if I am unable to represent South Africa in Belguim. I therefore appeal to you to please consider my request favorably.
Thank you and kind regards, Alwyn Burger
