Financial assistance to go Washington

Financial assistance to go Washington

Personal message

Xolani Sifundza (20) is a young gentleman who grew up in the dusty streets of Pienaar – a township just outside Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, South Africa – a place which used to be notorious as the ‘hotspot’ of criminal activity across the Mpumalanga province.

He is currently a student at the University of Johannesburg (UJ), where he is doing a three-year course in Entrepreneurship.

I've been invited as a delegate to the 2019 International Young Leaders Assembly – “Moral and Innovative Leadership for Sustainable Peace and Development: Vision, Service, and

Entrepreneurship," which will be held in Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and New York City from August 3-10th, 2019.

IYLA is a premier partnership-driven leadership development program that empowers promising young leaders to positively impact communities, nations and the world. Emphasizing the importance of vision, service, and entrepreneurship as the foundation of moral and innovative leadership, the IYLA hosts student leaders and young professionals for interactive programs with globally significant leaders and institutions.

Due to limited space, there is a limit on the number of participants accepted into the program and the next step is to make the payment of $3,000.

My participation will be secured only after the full payment is received. The IYLA tuition fee covers the processing fee, entrance to all venues, hotel accommodation, domestic transportation (To Washington, Philadelphia and New York), all activities and events, all meals, program materials, and certificate.

The fee does not include airfare or transportation to/from the airport.

It will be my first time traveling overseas, your assistance towards making my dream become a reality will be highly appreciated.

I need to raise the funds by the end of July.

Funds raised will help cover:
R45 000 will be used for Tuition fee - The IYLA tuition fee covers the processing fee, entrance to all venues, hotel accommodation, domestic transportation (To Washington, Philadelphia and New York), all activities and events, all meals, program materials, and certificate.

R25 000 will be used for flights.

The financial assistance through donations will enable me to attend the IYLA 2019 which will allow me to meet with other fellow young leaders and professionals like me. Such will give me a platform to raise issues concerning our country particularly the youth and be able to apply some of the solutions discussed in order to bring change to society.

The funds will go towards paying all the necessary costs for the trip.
