Zintle Moko's father died of Covid in December 2020 when she was four months old. She lives in a dilapidated RDP home in the township of Khayelitsha with her mother who only has a part time job as a domestic worker. Her father left her a cramped, one bedroom home that does not have a bathroom and this is currently being transferred into Zintle's name. Her mother lives with a chronic medical condition and her greatest wish is to give Zintle the stability that an adequate home would provide.

Funds raised from this campaign will go towards renovating Zintle's home. A full costing will drawn up and made available once we can pay for plans.

This campaign is important to me because I am currently acting as a gestational surrogate for a child that will grow up in a privileged context with two fathers and I am extremely aware that so many children in South Africa, like Zintle, are growing up without a father. I am hoping that my act of generosity will inspire others and ripple out to touch less advantaged families like Zintle's.
