Africa Solidarity Network (ASN)
We are a non profit organisation assisting the asylum seekers and Refugees in Western Cape. We have the project on advocacy lobbying, HIV/ AIDS and Education. South Africa has started to accept the refugees after 1994, it is there they have to develop the law in the country and also to ritify the international convention of refugees of 1951 ( UN Convention of refugees of 1951). The refugees are geting the permits allowing them to work and study but the people always are confused what is taking place at which stage you have to apply the permenent stay. Permenent residence is the last stage of refugee act ( act 130 of 2008), where you had everything now you have to apply it. the law specify the modality but the implementation is very power.
So we need the resouces to implement our projects and programmes.
