Cam s Teet Yeet Campaign Campaign
Hi, I’m Cameron and this is why I need your help.
I’m a 29 year-old trans man living in Cape Town. I won’t bore you with the details of what it means to be transgender, but I would like to share how it has impacted my life. Apart from suffering from crippling dysphoria, to facing discrimination daily, even in the workplace, this life is not a choice, it is who I am and always have been.
I first started transitioning about 2 years ago, and sometimes it’s hard for me to put into words how remarkably life changing and life saving it has been being able to live and be seen as authentically me. I believe that I am ready for this next step in my transition and know that it will give me the opportunity to live my life with confidence, and for the first time look forward to a future.
Having top surgery will mean that I could pursue my interests in marine biology, scuba diving and free diving uninhibited, that I could wash my car on Sunday mornings with my t-shirt hanging from my back pocket, that my partner can have all of me when we make love and that I will just be able to stand as a taller, prouder man.
All funds raised will be used for my surgeon, anaesthetist, hospital fees and travel costs.
I would appreciate any support - if you can’t make a contribution, sharing this campaign with your friends and family would help a great deal.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
