Help Us Save Our Family Home Campaign
Hi everyone,
I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a plea for assistance. Our cherished family home, a place filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories, is currently in jeopardy of being auctioned off. We find ourselves in this difficult situation due to a series of unfortunate events, and we are turning to the community for support and kindness.
Our Story:
Our family has always treasured the bonds we've built within the walls of our home. However, of late life has thrown us some unexpected challenges. Our older sister took ownership of the house and in a desperate attempt to secure her financial stability, used it as collateral for a substantial loan from the bank where she worked. Tragically, she lost her job that same year and was left with the insurmountable burden of the loan, which she can no longer repay. Consequently, our family home is now at risk of being auctioned.
Why We Need Your Help:
The thought of losing our family home is devastating. My parents are now older and retired - if they lost our home I fear it might have devastating consequences to their general wellbeing. Not only that...our home is not just a physical structure; it's a representation of our family's history and the backdrop to countless meaningful moments. It holds the memories of our parents' hard work, our childhood, and the unity that has always defined us as a family. Losing it would be such a profound loss.
How Your Contribution Will Help:
The funds we raise will help us prevent the auction of our family home and clear the outstanding loan. We have exhausted all possible avenues, managing to raise P140 000.00 (the equivalent of R194,889.80 as of September 16th, 2023) of the P500 000.00 (R696,035.00) that the bank is originally owed, leaving us with an outstanding balance of P360 000.00 (R501,145.20).
