Curry's Post Educational Trust
Along with three friends I am a volunteer at the Curry's Post Primary School in the Midlands of Kwazulu-Natal, where we run a library, story time for Grades 1 to 3 and reading groups for Grades 4 to 7. All the children are from underprivileged backgrounds and some have no parents. Many have only one school uniform. Despite this, they are delightful kids and love the library, and we're getting really positive results with improved reading and comprehension skills. The kids love th stories too! This lovely little rural school has caring and enthusiastic teachers, and we're trying to help the kids as much as we can. The Curry's Post Educational trust was formed in 1992 by residents of the Curry's Post area to support the school. All money raised by this campaign will be administered by the Curry's Post Educational Trust and not a single cent will be wasted. For more information about the school and the trust see www.curryspostprimary.org.
