Get Kai to World Champs in LA Campaign

In Jan '23, she started vocal training with Duerell's School of Music. In June, at the age of 11, she entered her first eisteddfod. Three lines into her first song she fell apart and we did what we could just to get her to sing from behind a curtain - she was awarded 100% for that song. 

In July, she participated in the regional event and was awarded her Gauteng colours for vocals. In September, she attended the South African Championships for Performing Arts in Rustenburg. On the 8th of October she won a gold medal which got her a spot in the South African team that goes to LA in June 2024, to compete at the World Championships. 

While we're are so proud of her achievement, it is her personal growth that makes us most proud. From a kid who cried her eyes out before every performance and sang from behind a curtain, who ran off the stage in the middle of an Extravaganza, we now have a kid who gets up in front of a panel of judges and fights for the privilege to represent her country. The growth that she has shown is so much more than anyone expected and we would love to see this growth continue. Yes, she still lacks confidence in her ability and we're yet to see her come into her own, but the speed with which she is growing is incredible.
