Eagle Encounters
Eagle Encounters was founded in 2001 by Hank Chalmers and his wife Tracy and has seen thousands of birds and animals successfully rescued, rehabilitated and released back into the wild. Eagle Encounters partners closely with wildlife organisations like Cape Nature and has a high rescue release rate.
Eagle Encounters funds its work through its Visitor Centre which gives visitors the chance to interact with birds of prey up close (visitors are part of flying shows where birds are flown to their hands), and also through its education programmes which teach schools and local communities about conservation through personal interactions with animals.
Eagle Encounters is a fantastic place for families to visit, and all donations go directly towards rescue, rehabilitation, education and conservation of South Africa's amazing raptors and wildlife.
