Fisantekraal Animal Welfare
Fisantekraal Animal Welfare: Helping people to help animals.
Fisantekraal Animal Welfare (FAW) helps the animals of Fisantekraal township near Durbanville, Western Cape, and surrounding impoverished areas, including Klipheuwel, Morning Star, and farms.
FAW’s aim is to combat suffering and neglect of the companion animals in this area. The best way to reduce their suffering is to tackle the root causes: companion animal overpopulation and lack of owner education.
They strongly believe in working with the community to create lasting change.
The focus is dog and cat sterilisations and primary healthcare (vaccinations; parasite control), as well as educating and empowering people to care for these animals.
Additional services include treating sick and injured animals, dipping and mange treatment, providing affordable subsidised food and kennels, and rehoming animals where needed.
FAW’s vision is to have healthy, happy animals and a community invested in their care.
Fisantekraal Animal Welfare is a registered Non-Profit Organisation (NPO 051-348) and registered Public Benefit Organisation (PBO 930057641); FAW is BEE Exempt.
