Heart and Stroke Foundation South African NPC

Heart and Stroke Foundation South Africa (HSFSA) plays a leading role in the fight against preventable heart disease and stroke, with the aim of seeing fewer people in South Africa suffer premature deaths and disabilities. The HSFSA, established in 1980 is a non-governmental, non-profit organization which relies on external funding to sustain the work it carries out.

 

Our Vision is to promote cardiovascular health and cerebrovascular health through advocacy, influencing policy, providing information, tools, and support which will:

  • Empower people to adopt healthy lifestyles and seek appropriate care early in the manifestation of the disease
  • Assist in making healthier choices easy

Our mission is to empower people in South Africa to adopt healthy lifestyles, make healthy choices easier, seek appropriate care and encourage prevention.

We run a number of programmes with the aim to meet of mission and vision :

  1. Healthy Schools
  2. Free Community Health Risk Assessment
  3. Support 
  4. Research
  5. Endorsments
