Historic Bathurst is an association of people concerned with the preservation and protection of the cultural and structural history of this village.
It was formally constituted in 2014 and registered as a Non-Profit Organization (170-421) in 2016. Bathurst has been listed as one of South Africa's 10 most ENDANGERED cultural historical sites.
Currently, our major interests are the refurbishment of the Toposcope Monument and the maintenance of Bradshaw's Mill.
However, there are several other sites needing attention. The purpose of our organisation is to preserve and create awareness as well as build interest in these different sites. We have multiple ways of getting involved, which include: Online Donations, Exchange of Information and Voluntary Work.
