SC believes that every person, young and old has the potential to take ownership and charge of their lives, if they are equipped with the skills, values and attitude and given the support to do so.

For the ISC, an old Chinese proverb rings true:

“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

Thus the ISC run a number of initiatives to facilitate and nurture this belief. These initiatives range from supporting community based feeding schemes to large scale projects such as youth development and leadership programmes.
