Christmas campaign for the homeless Campaign

Christmas is a time of appreciation , giving and kindness. As having grown up in Cape Town, South Africa witnessing homelessness has always been something which has gotten to me.There are approximately 14 000 people living on Cape Town's streets without a home. Since starting my non-profit which creates eco-bricks and uses them on towards building houses for the homeless , i have always wanted to do something else to help in the mean time. On Christmas when everyone is eating well and enjoying time with family and loved ones, there are people who are sitting on the side of the road hungry , cold and alone. This year i wanted to create a drive to fund creating care packages to give to the homeless all around Cape Town. Although this small action will not end homelessness , it may help put a smile on and help those peoples faces who need it the most.

 

The care packages will include essential items like energy bars, gloves, hand sanitiser , electrolytes, personal hygiene items ,etc... The more donations recieved, the more packages will be able to be made and given to those who need it.
