A Little Becomes A Lot Campaign

My name is Ian Smith,  I am 21 years old, full-time student and 5th child of 6 children.  Within 3 months of intense training I received my first silver medallion at the IFBB SA Bodybuilding Championships in September '23 becoming a IFBB JUNIORS under 23 champion. I have been chosen to represent South Africa at the World Bodybuilding Championships in Santa Sussanna, Spain from the 1st to the 5th of November 2023.

It's an great honor and privilege to represent my country, South Africa in Spain. At this event I will also be receiving my Protea colours as a junior bodybuilder at the age of 21 for a sport that I have fallen in love with through discipline and the enormous support I have received from my family.

My parents adopted myself and another two of my 5 siblings into their loving family. With so many kids, one can imagine that  it would be above my parents means to finance this trip to Spain. Most of the costs are paid for in Euros and with the weak Rand the cost are adding up rapidly for my supportive family.

This sport has come naturally to me at such a young age & it saddens me to know that if the funding and sponsorships do not realize, that the sacrifices made by myself and my family would have been made in vain.

I humbly ask for any donations for costs which include but are not limited to:

●  Return flight tickets,

●  Travel insurance,

●  Travel kit,

●  IFBB registration fees,

●  International affiliations

●  Visa costs,

●  Passport costs,

●  Ground transport,

●  Accommodations and meals.

I have been overwhelmed by the costs that I need to materialize my dream . I have until the 5th of October to raise the total cost for this trip.

An old Tanzanian proverb I live by is "Little by little, a little becomes a lot" and with your  R100 donation today or anything you're willing to share I know that it will be possible to overcome this financial challenge and help one of many young athletes achieve their dreams.
