Helping Caity Campaign

On the 5th of September 2023, my sister Caity (26 yrs) was diagnosed with a rare STUMP (Smooth Muscle Tumor Uncertain of Malignant Potential) tumor which was confirmed to be cancerous. A couple weeks before this, she had seen a fertility specialist who removed what we thought at the time to be just a fibroid so the Dr could preserve the lining of her uterus with the hope of being able to have children in the future. Within two weeks of that procedure the growth had returned along with all the symptoms of heavy bleeding and anaemia. Because of the aggressiveness of the tumor the specialist oncology gynaecologist said that they will have to perform a partial hysterectomy leaving just her ovaries behind.
