Kerisha Mewalal Nationals Tournament Campaign

Hi,

I am Kerisha Mewalal, a 30 year old female angler.

I have been once again selected to represent KZN at the Ladies National Angling Tournament being held in Veldrift (Western Cape) from the 10th to 17th February 2024

I have started competitive angling 3 years ago with no expectations of getting this far in the facet of Rock and Surf Angling.

Over this short period of time I have learnt so much and gained so much experience and knowledge from the many talented anglers I got to fish along side, with hopes that this will one day allow me to inspire and introduce many more females to the angling facet as well.

Since I’ve started my fishing journey, I have managed to achieve a few KZN Ladies records as well as have a pending SA Ladies record on my edible catches.

This journey for me has been one of my greatest achievements and I am hopeful that one day I can go on to achieve the highest honour of a Protea Blazer in the years to come.

To achieve my goal of participating at the Ladies Nationals, I am required to raise a sum of R25 000 which will assist me with the following:

· Travelling costs

· Accommodation

· Tournament Fees

· Tackle requirements

· Fishing Kit/ clothing

· General expenses for duration of tournament

In a nutshell, the support and motivation from family, friends, mentors, my Team- Reunion AC and fellow anglers has been nothing short of inspiring and amazing and with your help, I hope to achieve one of my many goals.
