Emergency Heart Operation for Emily Campaign

My name is Kyla. I have created this back a buddy on behalf of friends of mine Tim and Kerry McKelvey who need help for their beautiful baby girl Emily, who was born on the 6th November 2023. Emily is 2 days old.

Emily has been diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot. A rare condition caused by a combination of four heart defects that are present at birth.

Tetralogy of Fallot defects cause oxygen-poor blood to flow out of the heart and into the rest of the body.

Emily is currently in NICU in Medi Clinic in Pietermaritzburg. The bills so far just for NICU are roughly R120 000.00.

This operation is a 2 million operation at a private hospital which is unfortunately not an option. The only option is for her to be transferred from Medi Clinic to Nelson Mandela Childrens Hospital in Johannesburg where they will operated on her.

The flight alone to get her there is roughly R100 000.00.

Emily is on a medical aid but unfortunately the medical aid has put her on a waiting period and she will only be active from the 1st December 2023 and unfortunately she cannot wait that long for this operation.
