Peter Pedlar Cancer Hope Fund Campaign

Dear Family and Friends,

 

Today, I'm reaching out with heartfelt motivation on behalf of my father, Peter Pedlar (58).

 

Recently, he faced a daunting opponent - a diagnosis of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, an aggressive variant that demands swift intervention. Over these past weeks, my father has shown extraordinary strength, becoming a beacon of inspiration to all who know him intimately.

 

In early September 2023, he was admitted to the hospital with critically low blood counts, necessitating an immediate blood transfusion. Astonishingly, his resilient spirit amazed the doctors, even when his body seemed frail. A series of tests, including a biopsy and bone marrow examination, confirmed the presence of cancer, a profound shock.

 

A week later, a medical crisis unfolded as his spleen ruptured, leading to an urgent ICU operation. Remarkably, he defied the odds, surviving three resuscitations and the removal of his spleen. The medical team anticipated a coma lasting days, yet he defied expectations, awakening after a mere four hours.

 

Gradually, he transitioned from ventilators, and in a few days, he found himself in a surgical ward, inching toward recovery.

 

Now, my father embarks on the journey of chemotherapy, the primary treatment for stage 4 aggressive lymphoma. Despite the challenges, our resolve to conquer this cancer remains unshaken. Miracles can and do happen.

 

This fundraiser aims to raise funds for my father, Peter, to cover treatment and additional medical expenses that are not covered by medical aid. To ensure that he can undergo complete treatment, to increase his chance of life. Every contribution makes a difference.

 

We extend our hands to you, our friends, our family, and the compassionate biker community who share a deep bond with my father. We've come this far, and we won't surrender. Your support is our strength.
