This is the idea of an "empty seat" ticket. I am an actor whose stood before the tough choice of giving up way too many times. When the show I was in got canceled by the production company putting it on, I reached a boiling. I decided that I would take all my experience and material, rope in people like me and put on a show! But now the teater costs need to be covered 9r we stand in fron of an closed door if the theater deems it not worth it. It's short notice for people to come watch the show.
