Milagro Equestria, through the use of our horses, provides a fun environment where children undergo both a physical and social experience through learning basic riding as well as receiveing Hippotherapy for those with severe physical impaiments.
Our main focus is providing therapeutic riding lessons and Hippotherapy to special needs children which aims to improve their physical, cognitive and social development. We aim to help each of our riders grow in confidence, improve their problem-solving skills, build meaningful relationships, learn new skills to deal with everyday life situations as well as learning basic riding and good horsemanship all while having fun.
Those receiving Hippotherapy, also receive special Physiotherapy intervention on the horse to focus on specific impairments such as joint range of motion, balance and posture and motor control movement.
Apart from providing individual sessions at the the stable yard; we have become involved with a special needs school from 2017, by providing therapeutic riding lessons and Hipotherapy lessons for a group of deserving sponsored little riders.
Once a week, we truck our trusted steed to the school grounds to provide lessons on location. The changes in each of these riders over the past year has been tremendous and is something we hope we will be able to continue for another year. We identify individuals whose parents are unable to afford any extra forms of therapy.
Since we truck to the school on a weekly basis, our lesson fees are R500.00 per child, which amounts to R2000/R2500 per child per month, dependant on weather conditions and school holidays. This includes the trucking expense, the lesson fee as well as their physiotherapy session.
Herewith with give thanks for your consideration for our endeavour and look forward to your involvement in our exciting venture.
