8001 Academy HERoic Campaign

My name is M. Qasim Davids. I have graduated with a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science degree at the University of the Western Cape. For the past 5 years, I have been volunteering my time assisting and coaching girls' soccer. The girls team I have been coaching has very little to no equipment and no kit to play in. The past 2 out of 3 seasons we have been unbeaten and invited to multiple school tournaments. We have chosen to participate in a tournament that benefits the girls and I would like them to be in tip-top shape. For that I am in need of funds.
The funding I am requesting will cover equipment (balls, cones, bibs, etc), a kit, coaches and transport for the year.
There has been a positive impact at the school as the team grew from 7 girls in 2021 to 30+ girls in 2023. The growth in numbers alone shows how much interest, commitment, passion and dedication these young ladies have for the sport.

Female sports is on the rise and I feel like there's no better opportunity to promote young female participation in sport than a girls soccer tournament.
