Help Koketso breathe easier Campaign
My cousin Koketso is a 26-year-old young woman from Hammanskraal , whose life has been extremely disrupted after been diagnosed with 9 issues pertaining to her lungs and has resulted in needing/being on oxygen 24/7.
She was given an oxygen machine and tank when discharged from hospital, however the machine only functions with electricity. Loadshedding especially when on stage 4-6 is threatening her life as at times the tank is not sufficient. There have been times when an ambulance has had to be called due to her oxygen running out.
Also, she is home all the time and cannot go anywhere. She is not able to even take a walk.
we are asking for help to:
1. Buy an inverter to keep the machine on during load shedding. (R5000-R10 000)
2.Get her a mobile oxygen machine/portable oxygen concentrator for her to easily carry it around and be able to walk out the house. (R45 000)
3. Medication, staying with grandmother who is on pension finances are low. At times they are told by the hospital to get medicine at Dischem as they have run out. This is too costly for them.
These funds will save Koketso's life and give the family peace of mind from not worrying about load shedding and also give her a "normal" life as possible.
