Support for the Ncube family Campaign
Dear Friends and Supporters,
We come to you today with heavy hearts, seeking your help and compassion for a Zimbabwean family who have been struck by an unimaginable tragedy. Our domestic helper and babysitter’s, life has changed in an instance. A husband, a father, and the breadwinner of their family was taken from them in a cruel and senseless act of violence. This family's world was shattered when he was robbed and fatally stabbed when returning from work, in front of their apartment.
In their darkest hour, they turned to the government hospital for hope and solace, only to be let down by a system that should protect and care for every member of our community. Tragically, they didn’t receive the proper care and support that every human being deserves, simply because of their nationality. It is a stark reminder that compassion knows no borders, and every life is precious.
This family now consists of a mother and her three sons, ages 12, 7 and 2, now left to navigate a world without their beloved husband and father. They face not only the overwhelming grief of losing a loved one but also the daunting prospect of rebuilding their lives from the ground up with only one income.
But here is where we can make a difference, where our collective compassion and generosity can shine through. We have the power to come together as a community, transcending borders and differences, to extend a helping hand to this grieving family.
Our mission is simple: to provide financial support to this family so they can heal, recover, and rebuild their lives. Your donation, no matter how big or small, will make an immense difference. It will support the children's education, future and to provide for the basic needs of the family.
Let us show the world that in the face of tragedy, we can come together and make a positive impact. Your contribution will not only alleviate the immediate burden on this family but also send a powerful message of solidarity and compassion.
Please consider donating today and sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, and social networks. Together, we can help this Zimbabwean family find hope and light amid their darkest days.
Thank you for your kindness, empathy, and support.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Carel & Nicola van der Merwe .
