Help the Booster kids get to JHB Campaign

2 of Booster Kids’ teams have qualified for the National Finals for FLL in Johannesburg on the 1 & 2 December 2023!

The FIRST LEGO League Challenge is an international Lego Robotics competition where teams of students ages 9-16 engage in research, problem-solving, coding and engineering. They build and program a LEGO robot that navigates the missions of a robot game. As part of Challenge, teams also participate in a research project to identify and solve a relevant real-world problem.
Our two Teams, Checkmate and Valkies, have been invited to attend Nationals after receiving the following awards.

Team Checkmate won FLL Masterpiece Western Cape overall 2nd place for fully achieving core values, achieving excellence and innovation in robot performance, robot design and their innovation project.
Team Valkies won the Engineering Excellence award for an innovation solution that effectively addresses the seasons challenge, with great core values imminent in all they do with a well-designed robot.

After winning 2nd AND 3rd place at the Provincial competition, Booster Kids has been invited to compete in the National Finale in Johannesburg which is an event incorporating science, technology and the arts, education and robotics.
We ask that you consider donating to our leaners to help them get to Johannesburg for this amazing opportunity.
