Wilberforce Academy 2024 Campaign
My name is Makwenziweyinkosi Ntokozo Cebekhulu. My names translate into English as "if it is God's will" and "Joy." My life has truly been a living testimony to these names.
I gave my life to Christ at the age of 19 and soon after that, I felt God calling me to the healing ministry with the vision of opening up a healing centre for anyone with physical, emotional and/or spiritual hurt. I could not believe God had called me to such a great purpose and thus sought help from others to make this call a reality.
Due to this, I was vocal about the call God has on my life but this seed was trampled on by almost everyone I shared it with, including my own family. This lead to a lot of doubt and resentment towards God because I couldn't understand why no one was willing to assist me to live out my purpose. This went on for years until I gave up on my call. It was when I moved to Hillcrest in 2021 that things started to change. Things slowly changed because I joined a church with a heart of outreach and making a change in its community. As I volunteered more, I understood that healing starts with forming genuine relationships which lead to trust and safety so that both parties open up to each other. With more interactions, I also understood the need to always act under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
In 2022, I enrolled into the Durban Christian Center Bible Institution to start theology studies and I have been doing a few modules each term. I started these studies because I realised that I needed more that a calling, I needed to equip myself with the knowledge and skills to fulfil my purpose. I firmly believe that the Wilberforce Academy programme is the next step in my journey to realise my purpose.
I have registered for the Wilberforce Academy 2024 programme and was accepted as a delegate. Unfortunately, I did not secure a scholarship and that is why I am reaching out for assistance.
The attendance fee of R7500 includes accommodation, food and transport from the Cape Town International airport to the venue as well as transport during the residential week. As it stands, return flights from King Shaka International airport to Cape Town International airport amount to R2300. This is how I have arrived at the target of R10 000.
