Organisation Towards Integration
Organization Towards Integration (OTI) works with the Kgalema Motlanthe Foundation at Holy Family College to promote inclusive education in South Africa which incorporates children with disabilities, particularly the blind and visually impaired, into the mainstream life of society. The programme currently works with mainstream schools for sighted children to educate children who are blind and visually impaired.
We need your urgent support to pay school fees for blind and visually impaired children in need.
OTI aims to create an education system that promotes the full participation and inclusion of children with disabilities to maximise their personal development and enable their ongoing participation and inclusion in society.
OTI has identified a severe lack of schools for children who are blind and visually impaired in the City of Johannesburg – this is a crisis for children with disabilities and is a barrier to the success and development of an inclusive society. This programme addresses these challenges and hopes to inspire more schools to incorporate inclusive education into their curriculums and learning environments. OTI aims to grow and expand the programme to meet the needs of children who are blind and visually impaired across South Africa.
