Resultant nerve damage also means Page is still dealing with pain daily and has to be on a strict pain management plan with heavy medications which leave her drowsy, dizzy and energy scarce. Doctors estimate full recovery to be anywhere between 6 - 12 months.

Although she was lucky to be on a hospital plan which has covered R115, 560 of the hospital fees, there are still significant hospital bills which are not being covered by medical aid (as Page needed a number of specialists to attend to her case, including 2 different neurologists).
