The Period Project South Africa NPC
On average a young woman on school can miss up to 70 days of school per annum when on a menstrual cycle and then needs to work ten times harder than her male counterpart.
The purpose of this project is to help lay the foundation for our young South African women (as it has being doing since 2016) to achieve her dreams by giving them the opportunity to complete school uninterrupted for lack of access to a basic necessity, such as affordable sanitary towels.
Not only will you be helping our young women to not miss school, but you are helping them to feel confident and giving them a chance at a brighter future. This project is not aligned to any political party and is here for the benefit of all our young women wishing to complete school.
From 2016-2017, approximately 1200 young women in Matric, across the Western Cape and as far afield as Willowmore in the Eastern Cape have each received a year's supply of sanitary towels.
Distribution is on its way again for 2018, but unfortunately not enought was raised in 2017, so each young woman will receive at least a six month supply, in the hope that by July this project will be able to have raised enough for the remainder of the year.
Your support in achieving this, will be much appreciated.
Sorry, no projects have been created yet.
