Hello, I'm Phentisilia Dollie, a 29-year-old South African living in Johannesburg and a devoted mother to two precious daughters, ages 4 and 6. My life took an unexpected turn in April 2023 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

My journey began with mysterious skin outbreaks and a tiny lump in my right breast. It was a rollercoaster of emotions as doctors struggled to diagnose the issue. After a painful and uncertain wait, the devastating news arrived on April 20, 2023: "You have breast cancer, and it has spread to at least two lymph nodes." The ground beneath me crumbled, and I wept like I'd never wept before.

I've been battling this relentless disease, enduring the pain and uncertainty of chemotherapy. Originally slated for eight sessions, my treatment plan had to change as the tumor didn't respond as expected. This means I'll be on chemo until February 2024, delaying my mastectomy surgery.
